Today I changed my mileage app to Runkeeper and it worked perfectly. Yesterday was another disappointing experience with MapMyRun. After riding 10 miles, and my "Dairy Aire" told me it was 10 miles MapMyRun logged 2.5 miles. MapMyRun you are fired.
I detest it when my ride app does work properly. After riding 8 miles I stopped for a refreshing drink and checked the app. 1.77 miles.. WHAT????? 1.77 miles is the distance from our home to the local McDonalds and I certainly did not stop for a Big Mac. (insert mad face) Luckily, I knew where I was, how far I had ridden, and how far it was to my home, so it all worked out. It always seems to be an adventure of some sorts in my life.

While completing my first day of riding I recalled my experiences during the last year. I remembered my personnel heath scare and how far I have come since 2024. As I rode past the spot where I was hit by a car my head was on a swivel. (NO MORE OF THAT PLEASE) I thought about why I do this. I hate cancer. A life long friend lost his battle last week with cancer and it devastated me. I thought how distract we would have been if we had been told that one of our children had cancer. I think of of our grandchildren and our great grandchildren. Nobody wants to receive that news. Please help if you can to further children's cancer research.
