I rode the furthest today, completing my 100 miles. 13 miles and 41 minutes later. I'm so happy I was able to complete my personal challenge. Plus I raised over $800 to fight cancer. My dog was so excited he was barking and trying to get on the bike with me!
So far this week I rode outdoors and indoors to make 76 miles. The weather has been so nice so riding outdoors has been wonderful and I keep increasing my time outdoors. I am happy that I'm able to keep riding and I'm close to my goal of 100 miles. I'm still hoping to get a few more donations to fight children's cancer. So if you'd like to submit a donation, the kids need it!
I can't believe it's only been a week and I've ridden 40 miles. Many thanks to my friend Judy, as she encouraged me to ride. We both have stationary bikes in our homes. So we will ride at the same time and chat on the phone as we ride! We are getting our exercise and sharing the experience. It's great to have a buddy while riding. Thanks friend, for helping me achieve this goal!
To start off my challenge, I decided to ride my real bike in my development. With my AFib I have to be careful with my heart rate while riding. I rode 3 miles in about 30 min which is the best I can do with the AFib. It was pretty breezy today and an absolutely beautiful day. Riding my exercise bike, I can do 10 miles in that time frame. I was happy as it's been since mid-July I rode outside. Thanks for supporting me in my efforts to kick kids cancer butt!
