I'm Riding For
Axton S.

There are some lives that, though far too short, shine brighter than we could ever imagine. Axton was one of those lights. His smile carried warmth, his laughter carried joy, and his gentle spirit touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. Though cancer tried to dim his light, Axton’s courage, love, and sweetness never faded. Today, Axton is free from pain and resting safely in the arms of Jesus. While our hearts ache for his absence, we also celebrate the beauty of his life and the impact he left behind. He reminded us of the importance of love, kindness, and childlike faith—even in the hardest battles. To honor Axton’s memory and his brave fight, I am committing to a bike challenge to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. Each mile I ride will be in remembrance of him and in hope for other children and families still facing this fight. This challenge is more than just about biking—it’s about keeping Axton’s light alive, supporting his family, and standing with countless children whose stories deserve to be heard. My prayer is that through this effort, we can move one step closer to a world where no child has to suffer from cancer, and no family has to endure this kind of loss. Axton, you will never be forgotten. Your life continues to inspire strength, compassion, and hope. This ride is for you. 💛🚴♀️🎗️
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
Cancer has touched my life in deeply personal ways. Many of my family members have faced this battle—some victorious, others gone too soon. Each of their stories has left a lasting mark on my heart and has given me a passion to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.
I am also a mother to a child with a chronic illness, kidney disease. I know what it means to spend countless hours in hospital rooms, praying at a bedside, and holding onto hope through the hardest days. Watching my son fight his battle has given me a profound compassion for every child and family enduring similar struggles.
This is why I ride. My journey is fueled by love, by faith, and by the hope of making a difference. Every mile I complete is in honor of children like Axton and in support of families who carry these heavy burdens daily. Together, we can turn heartbreak into hope and loss into lasting change. 💛🚴♀️🎗️
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
