There are some lives that, though far too short, shine brighter than we could ever imagine. Axton was one of those lights. His smile carried warmth, his laughter carried joy, and his gentle spirit touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. Though cancer tried to dim his light, Axton’s courage, love, and sweetness never faded. Today, Axton is free from pain and resting safely in the arms of Jesus. While our hearts ache for his absence, we also celebrate the beauty of his life and the impact he left behind. He reminded us of the importance of love, kindness, and childlike faith—even in the hardest battles. To honor Axton’s memory and his brave fight, I am committing to a bike challenge to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. Each mile I ride will be in remembrance of him and in hope for other children and families still facing this fight. This challenge is more than just about biking—it’s about keeping Axton’s light alive, supporting his family, and standing with countless children whose stories deserve to be heard. My prayer is that through this effort, we can move one step closer to a world where no child has to suffer from cancer, and no family has to endure this kind of loss.
