I am riding in honor of young Ian, a family friend’s son & grandson. Ian was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer and has been through so much these last few months. He is such a silly, fun kid and it has been so hard seeing him and his family battle this. He is a fighter and going through it all with a smile on his face. I am also riding in memory of all of my loved ones who have passed from cancer, including my husband Mel, father Richard, cousin Molly, Aunt Cathy, granddaughter Carlie and countless other loved ones! My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the abiggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
