My Story

"I’m back…" This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer for the SIXTH straight year! If you were part of my pit crew in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 our donations raised an outstanding $34,913 and inspired me to ride 1378 miles!!!!!

Every dollar we raised, and each mile on these rides is special to me. Having coached sports for close to 20 years I have had the misfortune of seeing some children affected by cancer.

For 2025 our goal is to pedal another 250 miles throughout the month of September.

Why am I doing this? Right now, because more children in the USA lose their lives to cancer than any other disease.... It's awful to think so many young lives are lost to this terrible disease. Kids should be living life, NOT fighting for it. To show my support, I am taking on this 30-day challenge to support cancer research and give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

This August I got another year older so it will be a bit tougher than 5 years ago, but it's nothing compared to what these brave kids face every day as they battle this disease and fight for their lives. I am truly honored and blessed to be able to do my part.

So today, I'm asking for your support. If you pledge a mere 8 cents a mile and hit my goal it will be the best $20 dollars you ever spent!

All funds raised will support Children's Cancer Research Fund to continue their work to develop innovative treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
