I'm Riding For
Scott Schipper
My friend Scott lost his two year battle with cancer on Dec. 28, 2013. He was among the nicest, and coolest people I knew in high school. He was a positive person and always sought to uplift people especially with music. I still can't believe he is gone. Before he died he visited other cancer patients. He gave his time for children with cancer because that is the kind of guy he was even when he was facing death.
My Story
This year, for the third straight year, I will be riding over 1,000 miles in the month of September, and I am currently kicking off fundraising for the Children's Cancer Research Fund.
This year is a very special challenge for me as I am an Athletes for Palestine featured athlete dedicating every mile I ride for the children all around the world. Children need to be living life, not fighting for it. I believe in organizations like the Children's Cancer Research Fund now more than ever. Children are always going to need our help as they face life's challenges no matter who they are, place of origin, religious beliefs, and cultural heritage, no matter what.

Meet White Cloud
3 Sep 2025This is White Cloud. He's a hard-core hardtail mountain bike that has put in 68-miles with me for the Challenge so far. While the road bike gets much needed work he is filling in putting in the work. He's got 1205-miles on him already. We have been up to the top of Mt. Tam; circumnavigated the town of Kentfield and Ross; and have descended down from Bolinas Ridge numerous times. Smiles for miles.

Year Four!
17 Aug 2025I can't wait to get this thing started for the 4th year in a row. I have some special rides planned in some of the most scenic places you can possibly go to ride a bike. The best part of all this is practically in my own backyard. I don't have to go very far from my doorstep to get some of the best roads and trails. Thank you Great Cycle Challenge for putting on a great event for a great cause. This one will be for the ages.
