My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week. That's almost 2000 every year!

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

“Hi Guys, I wanted to explain something. I was doing pretty well and then I got shingles. It hit me on the right side of my face and up into my hair. The virus has affected the nerves in my right eye and it doesn't track correctly with my left. I rode a couple of days with the shingles and the last day I believe I rode over 30 miles. I'm hoping my vision returns to normal. I'm 70 years old and sometimes it doesn't fully come back. If it does, I'll ride again (I sure am hoping). If it doesn't, I may never ride again. I really struggle with my balance. Thanks for your contribution to this wonderful cause!”
