My Story

My friend Kathy Dove was diagnosed with cancer back in 2017. This prompted my church family and friends to start daily prayer sessions to pray for Kathy. We celebrated good reports and we prayed in earnest during set backs. We watched her battle and we kept praying and trying to show up...not that there was anything we could really do. Kathy fought for three long years, but finally lost the battle in October of 2020. As a Christian this was hard for me because I really and truly believed that God would heal her here on earth. I mean she was such a precious soul who meant so much to so many. It just made sense that God would heal her. Alas, such was not God's plan and our friend Kathy is greatly missed on this earth.

When my pastor announced recently that he had been diagnosed with colon and liver cancer, I knew I needed to keep riding! While the money raised in this challenge goes toward cancer research for kids, I know that any and all research for cancer will help everyone. With God all things are possible!
