I'm pedaling through September to help fight children's cancer as part of the Great Cycle Challenge.

Cancer is horrific. It can strike at any age, in many forms. But there's something uniquely insidious about it attacking kids, threatening their lives when they're just starting.

"Right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States," the Children's Cancer Research Fund states. "Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week."

The Great Cycle Challenge raises awareness and funds for the Children's Cancer Research Fund. This helps them continue to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
