I'm Riding For
Madeline Grace Guarraia & Tara Lynn Orlowski

Madeline – You were a brave girl and fought your battle with cancer with the strength of a tiger. You're now free, but your roar lives on. Tara – Even with your fight with cancer as an adult, you always showed concern for others and cared how our families were doing, being one of the biggest cheerleaders for my kids' growth and achievements.
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer. Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
In 2016, my cousin and his wife lost their daughter Madeline to cancer. She was only a few months younger than our daughter Madeline (then 10 years old). Our Madeline was hoping to one day meet their Madeline. This year, Madeline Grace would have been 19 years old. She is survived by her sister (high school senior), brother (middle schooler), and her parents.
In March of this year, my boss Tara lost her life recovering from a kidney stone operation. As a young girl, she battled and won her battle with childhood cancer. The treatment, however, may have caused the more aggressive form of cancer that manifested itself in her a few years ago during the COVID years and while she was working on her Ed.D. Through the ongoing battle, she continued to manage our team and successfully earn her Ed.D. with grace. While the kidney stone operation was a success, her body couldn't handle the recovery and the cancer.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
